What the Rhino Box Does
Electronic component suites generating up to 1000 Watts of heat are able to safely operate in environmental extremes ranging from desert ambient environments 120ºF (49ºC), to 93ºF (34ºC) tropical conditions at 88% humidity, to rain conditions at 35º F (1.6º C). Military style data and power snap-in external connectors combined with ruggedized standard 25 foot cables allow you to tailor your system to your specific external networking, communications and power interface requirements.
How The Rhino Box Works
Each Rhino Box® employs a set of 6 active and passive thermal dissipation and containment components to maintain a reliable and safe operating station for the enclosed electronic components it protects.
1. A highly reflective proprietary transparent paint covers the exterior of the Rhino Box. This first line of defense reflects up to 90% of the sun's heat.
2. Internal avionics-type Aerogel absorbs and reflects heat transmitted throught the Rhino's tough, durable skin. Together with the reflective paint, the Rhino Box® blocks upwards of 97% of the sun's radiant energy.
3. The Rhino's environmental computer monitors both internal and external temperatures to control the powerful suite of intake/exaust fan assemblies and dynamicall control internal temperature.
4. In a cold environment,(less than 35 degrees), the system operation is reversed. The computer then controls the recirculation of the internally generated heat to maintain a safe operating range.
